"Climate Change: it's time to prepare"

Workshop: "That's no way to save a planet"

Purpose:

Frank discussion of why climate activism, for all its noise, seems not to be reaching out far beyond the typical ghettoes, even with ever more urgent scientific warnings

Presented by: ?? somebody with a brass neck and asbestos underwear
Time and room:
Questions posed:

What are the reasons that the Climate Camp, within an hours journey of 7 to 8 million had but 2000 people (tops) attend

What are the reasons that last Climate march in London was, at absolute best, half of the size of the 2006 one?

Why is none of the big NGOs trying to educate the public about the UNFCCC process, and get them engaged?

What are the barriers that climate activists face? What should they be doing differently from what they're doing now?
