Re: the Aims of the Day
"Climate Change: it's time to
prepare" is a space for you to come and
meet, listen and talk and think and (we hope) plan.
The day is designed so that :
a) you'll learn information that makes you (more) determined
to get active on the subject of climate change.
Whether you do that on your own or (as we'd recommend) with one of the
many many groups already active in Manchester is your
business, not ours.
b) you'll meet people who live near you, work near you,
think like you, think the opposite to you, and swap contact details
with them
but that last bit is up to you. Nobody will be running around
with a
clipboard creating a database. There are quite enough of those already.
c) you'll have a chance to ask questions, make comments and get answers
and responses (while allowing others enough time for the same), without
anyone trying to sell you a newspaper or get your bank details
So, there's no final plenary where the experts tell you to what to
think or what to do. If you've participated in the day, your
head will already be over-full of ideas about what to do.
d) er, that's it...
